Kevin & I , are huge fans of Keith Harings work. So , it was only right to dedicate a post. It was when Haring moved to New York where he met with fellow friends ,
Kenny Scharf and Jean-Michel Basquiat .He attended School of Visual Arts (SVA) , New York City. Haring began to organize and participate in exhibits and even performances at Club 57.
He began to create drawings on blank paper panels throughout the subway system
Haring even decided to open a Pop Shop, (Soho) selling T-shirts, toys, posters, buttons and magnets printed with his images. Haring was very committeded to making his artwork assessable to fans, friends and fellow artist/mentor Andy Warhol.
Haring was diagnosed with AIDS in 1988. The following year he quickly created The Keith Haring Foundation. Even though Haring died at such a young age. His work left kids of this new generation in Awe. Inspiring Fashion, Music even Graphic Artist. What some people would think was the highlight of life ,Haring left something more to remember, Work of Art.
